Question: I tried this using the mix with the two packets, one the flour and one the egg whites, ...do I need to use the one that is the single mix package? It was not fluffy like angle food cake but gummy......I messed up right????
ReplyDeleteSo sorry you're having trouble! Our baker used the cake mix with the single mix package. But she points out not to make the cake recipe on the box, only mix together the ingredients as shown. Also, she recommends hand mixing, not using a power mixer. She says that it will not turn out fluffy like traditional angel food cake, as it will not rise like that with the added ingredients, therefore, using a regular 9 x 13 pan should work. Please comment again if you have any additional questions. Good luck with your cake!
